Enhanced Lockfast Drain Rod Set

Very good, appears well made and a comprehensive set. Not used yet but perhaps could have wished for a little more flexibility in the rods, however time will tell.

Well made, order a spare rubber disc head as my original set (this for son-in-law) has started to crack with usage and age because the carriage charge is £8.99 remember to put some lithium grease in the joint before you tighten it if you are keeping it done up for instant use as I do with the head and two lengths of rod. Also over estimate your drainage length run to order extra rods within the same carriage charge.

Good locking facility, well made. Rotating handle and spanner are well worth purchasing along with accessories. Whole kit paid for itself on first successful blockage clearance. So good quality kit and narrow flexible rods needed on 4” drains - British made and from a known local authority supplier company.

Bought two sets of drain rods - One set had one rod end that had not been secured to the rod in production - which could have left me with a difficult situation in the rods use. On the plus the company were very responsive in resolving issues without fuss. I don't doubt the fault was a rare production error. Product generally good at reasonable cost. I would order from them again

Used the rods only once to clear section of tree roots being able to rotate the rods in both directions made the job a lot easier.

Apparently well made rods with smooth locking facility. Buying rods without this ability is a false economy, from experience don't do it. On a deeper man hole the 19mm rod diameter is a much more flexible option. I have used them twice already as our road's drainage system is pre WW2 and therefore combined and more likely to back up in the recent dry weather, carrying waste it was not designed to cope with.

Nothing much to complain about with this kit. Everything necessary is included to tackle most household drain problems, except for the optional rotating handle, and that is really essential for dealing with root intrusion, plus the optional spanner to tighten the rod lock-nuts, if you don't already have one. Can't complain about the price at all, and we saved several hundred pounds dealing with the blocked drain ourselves against the silly prices we were being quoted by the major drain service providers. Now that the drain problem is solved the rods and accessories are neatly stored away in the carry-bag at the back of the shed should we need them again. Considering the problems caused by the Covid-19 lockdown the fast despatch and next-day delivery by Wardsflex was pretty amazing.
